Bobbi Brown's Long Wear Cream Shadow

Almost two years ago, two of my dear friends tied the knot in upstate New York. About a month before the big day, the bride-to-be and I (always a bridesmaid…) got our makeup done at the Bobbi Brown counter in Boston. While I loved the finished product (um, my face?) there was no way my thin wallet could afford to buy every single product the makeup artist had used. So, faced with the process of eliminating all but one item, I did what most children do –opted for the brightest, shiniest, most sparkly object.

Bobbi Brown’s Long Wear Cream Shadow in Burnished lives up to the long wear part of its name. I’ve had the little jar for two years and have hardly made a dent in the stuff. It goes on super smooth (use a good makeup brush, not the junky freebie ones some places give out) and lasts all day, all night, and on those nights when you don’t wash your face (say, after an all night party that follows a romantic wedding ceremony) the stuff still looks great the next morning.

Rarely one to shell out a lot of dough for makeup, I will say this was $22 well spent. Thank goodness too, since at the rate I’m going there’ll be plenty of eye shadow to go around even after another two years.

Average Price $22/.12oz
Rating: 5 out of 5!

I think Bobbi Brown and Trish McEvoy products are worth every penny.
