"Fleece? Leggings?" we asked? How brilliant! How amazing! How perfect! How had we never heard of such a thing before?!
Earlier this fall, while on a routine Target run, we finally stumbled upon a row of these alleged tights and with Old Man Winter only a few months away knew we had to snatch up a pair in preperation.
Even though it's not even technically winter yet, New England has *ahem* encouraged us to dig these guys out ahead of schedule, seasonal calendar be damned. What we're saying is, we've already put a lot of miles into these leggings.
The concept of them is fantastic. They are ridiculously comfortable, they are absolutely warmer than traditional leggings as they help block the wind that can cut through normal tights and leggings. We like that the ends are cuffed because it makes them easier to tuck into boots and snow shoes without the legging material bunching up and in general they run true to size.
Given the very inexpensive price tag of between $10 and $14 a pop, we should not be surprised at how poorly they've held up with repeated use. You get what you pay for, after all. Target brand items tend to last much longer than these leggings though and in the end we are finding ourselves disappointed by how quickly they've pilled in spots and how quickly they're looking well, "worn."
In the end we'll rely on the Target brand tights for a quick fix of fleece, but The Pink Mixer is still on the hunt for the ultimate warm tight. Stay tuned, readers. (Because two can play at this game, winter.)

I have asked for these leggings for Christmas: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/hue-ultra-wide-waistband-leggings/3177749?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&contextualcategoryid=0&fashionColor=Graphite%20Heather&resultback=0&cm_sp=personalizedsort-_-searchresults-_-1_1_C&siteId=QFGLnEolOWg-u4o7q5.cWdXkkiDWzWisyQ
I have yet to receive them but the comments seem pretty positive. They are a bit pricey but in my defense they were on sale for $27 when I put them on my Christmas list. :)
My Anthro pair are still intact, but I don't wear them a ton. (You know me, always hot.) Actually, I've discovered they're the perfect layer under regular thin cotton leggings! I was gifted another pair this year, some brand from TJ Maxx. I will report back on their durability.
Quite informative post on Workout Leggings. Few weeks ago, I had bought compression leggings for my workout sessions from one of the reliable stores on the internet. Pretty happy to get such nice quality leggings at very affordable rates.
